Río Amarillo F.C.'s Allan Shearer got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Voltaje FC's Yoelvis Bierna got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Río Amarillo F.C.'s Allan Shearer got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Pedro Quiñones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 49 minutes in the game, Juan Miguel Miller fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Oso Figueruela having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Voltaje FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yoelvis Bierna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Voltaje FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Luar to maneuver through the defense. If Juan Miguel Miller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Río Amarillo F.C.'s Romulo Cabrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yoelvis Bierna in the 76th minute of play. When Juan Miguel Miller came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Río Amarillo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Voltaje FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
