Simon Grijan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Pungaloma SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramirez Pallar to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Aguillar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Grijan having to interfere. Umbruso Fanego charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Umbruso Fanego the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jidcay FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Umbruso Fanego hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ordonez Subiza during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Ordonez Subiza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Pungaloma SC's Garcés Terminel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 17 played minutes Jidcay FC got a freekick which was hit by Iachetti Calona. In the 23rd minute, Klimowitz Olea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramirez Pallar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Aguillar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Sánchez Leyte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ramírez Arriete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sánchez Leyte came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Jidcay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sánchez Leyte couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sánchez Leyte in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramírez Arriete saved Pungaloma SC from getting behind. Jidcay FC's Sánchez Leyte got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simon Grijan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramirez Pallar in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sánchez Leyte made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Jidcay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iachetti Calona to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Pungaloma SC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Stacio Cero hit a great ball. Sánchez Leyte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergio Ayerdi's late challenge caught a Pungaloma SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Ayerdi helped the player get up and apologised. Sergio Ayerdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ramírez Arriete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sergio Ayerdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Jidcay FC's Ramírez Arriete threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sánchez Leyte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sánchez Leyte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramírez Arriete read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. If Ramirez Pallar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Grijan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramirez Pallar in the 89th minute of the match. Ramírez Arriete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sánchez Leyte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jidcay FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
