Alberto Meca might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christobal Lojo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Meca ran back to his position shaking his head. Xavon Goitia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christobal Lojo having to make a save. 22 minutes into the match, Ayora SC's Xavon Goitia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christobal Lojo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Juan Alcolea came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the CD Tumpain fans jumped to their feet. The referee ignored CD Tumpain's protests and gave Juan Alcolea a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CD Tumpain getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Juan Alcolea hit a great ball. Alberto Meca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christobal Lojo having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Alberto Meca notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CD Tumpain's Christobal Lojo. Christobal Lojo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xzaver Pedrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Vialpando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
