The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Alaniz to make the kick off. Omar Mendes's late challenge caught a Ayora SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augashcola SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ayora SC the free kick. Pancho Arintero kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Ayora SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Augashcola SC for a fine match.
