Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Utfal to make the kick off. Cuarto Angel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Xzaver Pedrera made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as UD Cebadas's Patrick Utfal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xzaver Pedrera. That made the score 0-2 after 57 minutes of play. In the 60th match minute, UD Cebadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veto Verdugo to maneuver through the defense. Joffre Vellosillo's late challenge caught a Ayora SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Utfal couldn't finish the play. Alberto Meca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ataulfo Farras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over UD Cebadas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ayora SC throughout the match.
