To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the match, Fabricio Arieta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mendez Millan. Chumblin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabricio Arieta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With his leg Mendez Millan managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Coconuts FC's Vera Andino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fabricio Arieta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mendez Millan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. If Vera Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute of the match, Fabricio Arieta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mendez Millan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Losado during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 35 minutes into the match, Coconuts FC's Fabricio Arieta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mendez Millan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mendez Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vera Andino in the 52nd minute of the match. Fabricio Arieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mendez Millan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabricio Arieta in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mendez Millan saved Chumblin from getting behind. Coconuts FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
