AC Florida's supporters rose to their feet, but Morán Gurendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Asencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Veselin Gomzi got free with Krister Bergdal in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yambay Orsini got free with Krister Bergdal in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ibarra Vedeja in the 21st minute of play forced AC Florida's goalkeeper Krister Bergdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Krister Bergdal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Yambay Orsini's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Krister Bergdal firmly grabbed it by the left post. AC Florida's Krister Bergdal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save AC Florida from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the game, Cuenca S. C.'s Yambay Orsini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Krister Bergdal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Morán Gurendes put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Augusto Asencio. The supporters of Cuenca S. C. booed when AC Florida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leoncio Antoñana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cuenca S. C.'s Augusto Asencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morán Gurendes in the 41st minute of play. Yambay Orsini struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Krister Bergdal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuenca S. C.. Augusto Asencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Morán Gurendes's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Yambay Orsini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Krister Bergdal. AC Florida's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yambay Orsini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 60th minute, Ismael Piñeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, AC Florida's Ohto Vuori got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Ibarra Vedeja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cuenca S. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Krister Bergdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yambay Orsini in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Cuenca S. C. booed when AC Florida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Courel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes Cuenca S. C. got a freekick which was hit by Cevallos Parra. In the 72nd match minute, Cuenca S. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cevallos Parra to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AC Florida getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Leoncio Antoñana hit a great ball. AC Florida's Fricson Torrez was substituted for Leoncio Antoñana. Augusto Asencio didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AC Florida's Morán Gurendes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 87th minute, Jairo Zambrano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cuenca S. C.'s zone, Morán Gurendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Asencio came out of the goal and Morán Gurendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AC Florida's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
