Eusebio Aranzubia scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Aragones, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Denis Maximino scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Aragones, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marco Aragones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Aranzubia in the 15th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Saint George FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Aranzubia came free, but Marco Aragones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitor Andinyach might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Aragones. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitor Andinyach ran back to his position shaking his head. Eusebio Aranzubia took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Aragones. Marco Aragones dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 22 minutes into the game, Denis Maximino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Marco Aragones was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Denis Maximino came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Barcelona Sporting Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Maximino couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Maximino in the 28th minute of play forced Saint George FC's goalkeeper Marco Aragones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Ariel Huberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Milio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Mauro Salvado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Aragones was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 41st match minute, Saint George FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paco Rendain to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Diego Gracia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saint George FC's Marco Aragones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Maximino in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denis Maximino made a kick off. In the 51st minute Umbruso Losa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Milio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Barcelona Sporting Club booed when Saint George FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paco Rendain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Aragones didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Gracia went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Marco Aragones didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebio Aranzubia went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Vitor Andinyach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes Saint George FC got a freekick which was hit by Hidalgo Onis. The audience was convinced that Denis Maximino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Aragones was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. If Zuri Rioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Eusebio Aranzubia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marco Aragones, passed just outside the right post. Eusebio Aranzubia took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Aragones. Marco Aragones dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. A collision led to Barcelona Sporting Club getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Navarro Urguia hit a great ball. Marco Aragones made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Maximino in the 84th minute. Marco Aragones didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Salvado went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Barcelona Sporting Club's Diego Gracia got a free kick in the 89th minute. After some careless play in the Saint George FC defense, Denis Maximino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Aragones. The Saint George FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Aragones should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Barcelona Sporting Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Saint George FC.
