Cesar Servin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Yépez Torrent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samaniego Moraza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Los Piqueros Patas Azules's Leo Pachistre got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Zuhaitz Buzon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Los Piqueros Patas Azules's Yépez Torrent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samaniego Moraza in the 26th minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yépez Torrent showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Cesar Servin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yépez Torrent. Los Piqueros Patas Azules's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesar Servin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Clemente Lloves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samaniego Moraza to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Yépez Torrent successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Samaniego Moraza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yépez Torrent having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Samaniego Moraza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yépez Torrent. Samaniego Moraza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Samaniego Moraza struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Yépez Torrent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletas de Cristo. If Cesar Servin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yépez Torrent was a little too slow when Clemente Lloves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-5. 78 minutes into the match, Los Piqueros Patas Azules's goal looked a bit too open when Samaniego Moraza came free, but Yépez Torrent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cesar Servin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Los Piqueros Patas Azules fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yépez Torrent should have stopped the shot. The Los Piqueros Patas Azules fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atletas de Cristo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
