The referee ignored Atletas de Cristo's protests and gave Samaniego Moraza a yellow card for diving instead. Samaniego Moraza hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Estévez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Díaz Olaiz. The Equipo Rosa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Manzardo should have stopped the shot. Martin Ahumada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Díaz Olaiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Equipo Rosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Estévez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Manzardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesar Servin in the 90th minute. Atletas de Cristo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
