Rolando Briones was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute Alonzo Gallinal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Briones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Atlético Estudiantil's Rolando Briones got control of the ball when Gonzalo Artechevezuen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fiallos Limpias hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AKATSUKIS FC's John Sisalde got a free kick in the 28th minute. Amadeu Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blandón Lazaro in the 32nd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Rolando Briones successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The goalkeeper, Rolando Briones, was totally fooled by AKATSUKIS FC's Alonzo Gallinal, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blandón Lazaro made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Atlético Estudiantil's goal looked a bit too open when Harold Holsmuller came free, but Rolando Briones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 51 minutes, Bernardo Amurrio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Estudiantil and the AKATSUKIS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Atlético Estudiantil's Rolando Briones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paco Helguera in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Paco Helguera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Rolando Briones was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th match minute, AKATSUKIS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sobrado to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Atlético Estudiantil getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Urdaspal Areta hit a great ball. Rolando Briones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harold Holsmuller, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Casado Jolis's late challenge caught a AKATSUKIS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casado Jolis helped the player get up and apologised. Rolando Briones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Helguera in the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to AKATSUKIS FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gonzalo Artechevezuen hit a great ball. Rolando Briones came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by AKATSUKIS FC's Harold Holsmuller. But to his dismay, Harold Holsmuller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Rolando Briones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose-Antonio Fragua, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Atlético Estudiantil's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Helguera came free, but Rolando Briones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Juan Sobrado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Briones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Helguera in the 89th minute of play.
