Benjamin Alamon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Telmo Antecha went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Alfredo Horcajo fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elias FC's protests and gave Alfredo Horcajo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Elias FC's Alfredo Horcajo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when CD Guanabana's Telmo Antecha fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Benjamin Alamon made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Telmo Antecha sent off a good shot on target. After 31 played minutes CD Guanabana got a freekick which was hit by Chico Monterrey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Navarro Zucunza in the 34th minute of play forced CD Guanabana's goalkeeper Xarles Burgoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Wilmer Murguiondo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elias FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Guanabana the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Elias FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilmer Murguiondo to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes Elias FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Mayre. 46 minutes into the match, Elias FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xofre Sandoval came free, but Benjamin Alamon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Viedes to make the kick off. Benjamin Alamon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Viedes in the 55th minute of play. CD Guanabana's Xarles Burgoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Tielve in the 58th minute of play. Domingo Viedes took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Alamon. Benjamin Alamon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If René Caneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Elias FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Leonel Cuñat hit a great ball. Telmo Antecha took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Alamon. Benjamin Alamon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Olloque during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oscar Olloque kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 83 played minutes, Elias FC's Villota Apodaca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xarles Burgoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Elias FC reached it. After some careless play in the Elias FC defense, Domingo Viedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Alamon. The Elias FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Alamon should have stopped the shot. Benjamin Alamon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Viedes in the 89th minute of the match. Benjamin Alamon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Viedes in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Viedes in the 93rd minute of play forced Elias FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Alamon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
