Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Xano Artieta kicked off to start the match. After 6 minutes, Aguirre Alpanseque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Curitroje and the Inter de Portoviejo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Inter de Portoviejo booed when UD Curitroje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aguirre Alpanseque didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in UD Curitroje's zone, Edison Lasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zuñiga Anton came out of the goal and Edison Lasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xano Artieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zuñiga Anton having to interfere. Xano Artieta took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zuñiga Anton. Zuñiga Anton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mina Bispo scored 1-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nando Mazorra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Zuñiga Anton managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Inter de Portoviejo's Xano Artieta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Xano Artieta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Portoviejo's supporters rose to their feet, but Xano Artieta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zuñiga Anton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zuñiga Anton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Orduña, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Mina Bispo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nando Mazorra. Inter de Portoviejo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mina Bispo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The Inter de Portoviejo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UD Curitroje were winning 1-3.

Zuñiga Anton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edison Lasa in the 58th minute of the match. Walter Canellas hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Zuñiga Anton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edison Lasa in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, UD Curitroje's Daniel Muñana got a free kick in the 69th minute. Timoteo Mandojana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nando Mazorra. Inter de Portoviejo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zuñiga Anton came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Portoviejo's Edison Lasa. But to his dismay, Edison Lasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The supporters of Inter de Portoviejo booed when UD Curitroje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Estrada Vicuña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Canellas hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The supporters of Inter de Portoviejo booed when UD Curitroje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Contero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Inter de Portoviejo lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
