But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Olivos couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Oromi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Silvio Morelo made a huge save. Silvio Morelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xantalen Acebedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Silvio Morelo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Oromi. Gualaceo FC's Xantalen Acebedo managed to work through Liga de Quito's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Xantalen Acebedo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Agostinho Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoro Garrote in the 26th minute of the match. Luis-Antonio Igareda charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis-Antonio Igareda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Gualaceo FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis-Antonio Igareda. The supporters of Liga de Quito booed when Gualaceo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Olivos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Oromi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Silvio Morelo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Silvio Morelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xantalen Acebedo in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Dennis Tabliega got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Xantalen Acebedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvio Morelo was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 71st minute Thiago de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Morelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xantalen Acebedo in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Morelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xantalen Acebedo in the 89th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Silvio Morelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Olivos in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Morelo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silvio Morelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xantalen Acebedo in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Marcelo Oromi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gualaceo FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
