UD Calug's Cristian Borizar got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Cristian Borizar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Morelo. Liga de Quito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Borizar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After some careless play in the Liga de Quito defense, Mario Sana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Morelo. The Liga de Quito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Morelo should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. UD Calug fully deserved thier win.
