When Zuñiga Portas came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the UD Chavay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zuñiga Portas couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute Teo Quiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bolívar Fierro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnoldo Yerro in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teo Moroño saved La Naranja Mecánica ® from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zuñiga Portas in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teo Moroño saved La Naranja Mecánica ® from getting behind. Zuñiga Portas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudio Mascire was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Atienza kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Yerro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Teo Moroño was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teo Moroño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Teijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in La Naranja Mecánica ®'s zone, Zuñiga Portas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Moroño came out of the goal and Zuñiga Portas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th match minute, La Naranja Mecánica ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrone Requena to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of UD Chavay booed when La Naranja Mecánica ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Mendiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teo Moroño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Yerro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teo Moroño was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. UD Chavay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
