In the 3rd minute Cumbicus Homar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Louzara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Xzavier Rubina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cumbicus Homar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Omar Louzara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pancho Troncoso hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute of the match Peter Gargante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Louzara skillfully saved the ball. Cumbicus Homar took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Omar Louzara. Omar Louzara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the UD Corralito defense, Cumbicus Homar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omar Louzara. The UD Corralito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Omar Louzara should have stopped the shot. If Cumbicus Homar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Cumbicus Homar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Omar Louzara. UD Corralito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cumbicus Homar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After having played for 32 minutes, Cumbicus Homar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guayllabamba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cumbicus Homar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. UD Corralito's Omar Louzara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cumbicus Homar in the 34th minute of play. Cumbicus Homar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Louzara having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trivniño Cabero in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marques Barona prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, Cumbicus Homar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Omar Louzara. UD Corralito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cumbicus Homar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the last second Marques Barona throw himself and got hold of the ball when Trivniño Cabero in the 48thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trivniño Cabero was the one to do the kick off. Xzavier Rubina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Louzara having to interfere. Zambrano Rapela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Marques Barona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Sabon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marques Barona. Guayllabamba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trivniño Cabero in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marques Barona saved Guayllabamba from getting behind. After 60 played minutes Guayllabamba got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Macia. Trivniño Cabero struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Marques Barona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Corralito. Zambrano Rapela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marques Barona having to interfere. Marques Barona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trivniño Cabero in the 65th minute of play. Omar Louzara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cumbicus Homar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cumbicus Homar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lisandro Bazo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xzavier Rubina got free with Omar Louzara in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guayllabamba played a much better game than UD Corralito and deserved their victory. The UD Corralito players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
