After a defensive mix-up in Sal Rom F.C.'s zone, Alexander Bautista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darío Esqueira came out of the goal and Alexander Bautista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Santiago Sedeño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Cacagual's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Santiago Sedeño fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an all-out effort, Sal Rom F.C.'s Emilio Gregorio threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rey Parga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emilio Gregorio stood somewhat misplaced when Santiago Sedeño came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. Cacagual's Emilio Gregorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Sedeño in the 41st minute of play. Darío Esqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Morais in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Sedeño in the 44th minute of play forced Cacagual's goalkeeper Emilio Gregorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Francisco Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacagual's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Morais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
