Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Xurde Cecilia kicked off to start the match. Cristian Artes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Oyaga having to make a save. Urtsua Irazu kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Morales Olivarez hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Cristian Artes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Oyaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Xoan Echenique hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Adrian Franquesa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guayaquil City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de Red Reign the free kick. After a rather tough play, Guayaquil City's Adrian Franquesa got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Xurde Cecilia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Red Reign's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xurde Cecilia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Avalos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xurde Cecilia in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute Claudio Alanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Avalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Xurde Cecilia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Avalos was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. David Avalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xurde Cecilia, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute of the match Urtsua Irazu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Avalos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateo Cabada was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Guayaquil City got a corner. Inter de Red Reign's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jacinto Artaza ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Guayaquil City's Fiallos Almiron to fire away a dangerous shot which Emanuel Oyaga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcelo Trigueros hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. David Avalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Alanis in the 58th minute of the match. When Adrian Franquesa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. In the 61st minute, Adrian Franquesa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Xurde Cecilia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. David Avalos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fiallos Almiron's late challenge caught a Inter de Red Reign's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fiallos Almiron helped the player get up and apologised. Fiallos Almiron hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Guayaquil City's David Avalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Trigueros in the 68th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Guayaquil City's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Trigueros came free, but David Avalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Xurde Cecilia made a precise shot to the right of David Avalos. Guayaquil City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 83 played minutes Guayaquil City got a freekick which was hit by Xoan Echenique. In the 90th minute Xurde Cecilia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Avalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
