The audience was convinced that Juan Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fortunato Briz was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Fuerza Amarilla's Yambay Vizcaino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Fuerza Amarilla from getting a goal against them. Yambay Vizcaino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Xosepe Hilari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fortunato Briz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, López Mexia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ventanas's zone, Juan Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Briz came out of the goal and Juan Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortunato Briz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Cabada in the 34th minute of play. If Roldan Peñalba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41st minute of the match, Gian-Carlo Torron tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yambay Vizcaino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 42nd minute Ventanas were awarded a corner. Fleitas Canellas went to the cornerflag to take it. Ubelteso Mondragon made a great header on Ventanas's corner, it was just that Fuerza Amarilla's Yambay Vizcaino managed to reach the ball for a save. Fortunato Briz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Almeida in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the referee blew the final whistle, Ventanas could leave the field as winners, despite Fuerza Amarilla having more of the ball for most of the match.
