Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) Patricio Roches didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xiao Rotalo went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of La Granja booed when Cango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Gama didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Cango got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Pola. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeruko Elizondo in the 18th minute of play forced Cango's goalkeeper Patricio Roches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Washington Othaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patricio Roches was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. La Granja's Xiao Rotalo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raimundo Toraño kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Patricio Roches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Othaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeruko Elizondo in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patricio Roches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the game, Zeruko Elizondo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Patricio Roches was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute, David Pis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cango's Xiao Baruz got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute David Pis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Roches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half La Granja were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Javier Orengo to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Xiao Rotalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Granja's supporters rose to their feet, but Xiao Rotalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Roches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Washington Othaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Pis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xiao Rotalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Patricio Roches made a huge save. After 65 minutes, Freddy Carabajo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cango and the La Granja players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Cango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Carabajo to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute Javier Orengo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Trespalacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeruko Elizondo got free with Patricio Roches in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cango's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Washington Othaz 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Patricio Herrara was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, one of La Granja:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Cango. Ubaldo Pola stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emilio Trespalacios. 1-4. Emilio Trespalacios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Moncada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, La Granja's Washington Othaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patricio Roches made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Pola during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cango's Ubaldo Pola got a free kick in the 86th minute. Washington Othaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patricio Roches. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Washington Othaz ran back to his position shaking his head. Zeruko Elizondo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Patricio Roches when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
