Spectators: 8085 (Terracing: 6065, Seating: 1859, VIP seats: 161) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leandro Vara started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Andoas SC's Norberto Caseda got control of the ball when Jurand Tarasek tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Andoas SC's zone, Ubendu Carreiras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Caseda came out of the goal and Ubendu Carreiras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Jurand Tarasek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Andoas SC's Norberto Caseda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jurand Tarasek came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Independiente de Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jurand Tarasek couldn't finish the play. Independiente de Quito's Jurand Tarasek got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Jurand Tarasek fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Andoas SC booed when Independiente de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Rojelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Independiente de Quito's Marcelo Cardiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Pachon in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Independiente de Quito getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Cotera Barrueta hit a great ball. Marcelo Cardiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Pachon, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A collision led to Andoas SC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Venceslao Terron hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Independiente de Quito's Jurand Tarasek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norberto Caseda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Norberto Caseda was a little too slow when Jurand Tarasek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0.

Ionuț Aldulea struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Norberto Caseda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente de Quito. Norberto Caseda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ubendu Carreiras went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Ubendu Carreiras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 69 minutes into the match, Andoas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jurand Tarasek came free, but Norberto Caseda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Caseda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurand Tarasek in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Romário Caicedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente de Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romário Caicedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisito Caton kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Independiente de Quito's Romário Caicedo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Norberto Caseda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justavino Gaztelumendi's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Justavino Gaztelumendi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Norberto Caseda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcelo Cardiel made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Enrique Pachon sent off a good shot on target.
