An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Colmenares in the 72nd minute of play forced Independiente de Quito's goalkeeper Marcelo Cardiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cotera Barrueta kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd match minute, Dioses Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Soporta to maneuver through the defense. The Dioses Fc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Independiente de Quito's performance. The match ended with a win for Independiente de Quito.
