La Granja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Washington Othaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xiao Rotalo in the 9th minute of play forced Huayquichuma FC's goalkeeper Franco Rello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Xiao Rotalo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huayquichuma FC's Franco Rello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Washington Othaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Rello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Zeruko Elizondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Franco Rello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Huayquichuma FC defense, Zeruko Elizondo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Rello. The Huayquichuma FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Rello should have stopped the shot. Washington Othaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, La Granja's goalkeeper Emilio Trespalacios had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Gamiz. The supporters of Huayquichuma FC booed when La Granja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Pis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franco Rello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Pis, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Xiao Rotalo might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franco Rello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xiao Rotalo ran back to his position shaking his head. Franco Rello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Othaz in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Uxio Dorronsoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40thth minute of the game Zeruko Elizondo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huayquichuma FC's Franco Rello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ubelteso Ariño hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Huayquichuma FC's zone, Patricio Herrara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Rello came out of the goal and Patricio Herrara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to La Granja getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Xurdin Arozamena hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xiao Rotalo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Uxio Dorronsoro came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the La Granja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uxio Dorronsoro couldn't finish the play. Xurdin Arozamena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Rello having to interfere. Emilio Trespalacios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Gamiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Xiao Rotalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 62 minutes, Xiao Rotalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huayquichuma FC's goalkeeper Franco Rello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xavier Bayas charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Bayas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Franco Rello successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Xiao Rotalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Franco Rello made a huge save. Zeruko Elizondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Washington Othaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Rello having to interfere. Xiao Rotalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zeruko Elizondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded La Granja left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Huayquichuma FC.
