Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sergio Rosich took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Ubendu Carreiras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Jurand Tarasek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saritama Guajardo was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. If Norberto Rojelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jurand Tarasek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente de Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Jurand Tarasek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saritama Guajardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lubushcu SC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Intriago Ariste hit a great ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Jurand Tarasek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente de Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurand Tarasek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gomez Temiño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Independiente de Quito's Jurand Tarasek got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Sergio Rosich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Cardiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Independiente de Quito's Jurand Tarasek got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Ubendu Carreiras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saritama Guajardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Independiente de Quito's Jurand Tarasek in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lubushcu SC's goalie prevented a goal. Jurand Tarasek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saritama Guajardo having to make a save. Saritama Guajardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurand Tarasek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute Jurand Tarasek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saritama Guajardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jurand Tarasek to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Independiente de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Caton. 55 minutes into the game, Jurand Tarasek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Saritama Guajardo. Jurand Tarasek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. When Ubendu Carreiras came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Independiente de Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubendu Carreiras couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Cardiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José-Luis Hervas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Ambrossi Urtueta in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Independiente de Quito's Romário Caicedo. After a defensive mix-up in Lubushcu SC's zone, Ubendu Carreiras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saritama Guajardo came out of the goal and Ubendu Carreiras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Jurand Tarasek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente de Quito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Independiente de Quito's Justavino Gaztelumendi was substituted for Jurand Tarasek. After having played for 77 minutes, José-Luis Hervas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lubushcu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José-Luis Hervas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justavino Gaztelumendi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Saritama Guajardo came out and tried to block the shot, but Justavino Gaztelumendi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 83rd minute. Independiente de Quito's Marcelo Cardiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Rosich in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, José-Luis Hervas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Cardiel. Independiente de Quito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José-Luis Hervas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Independiente de Quito's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
