Julio Abrante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Oquerruri in the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Carnot's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Oquerruri came free, but Julio Abrante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Hernández Tarulla hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Carnot's Rolando Cantoral got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, AKD Eagles's Walter Oquerruri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Walter Oquerruri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Abrante. Carnot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walter Oquerruri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Villarreal Lujan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Villarreal Lujan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Villarreal Lujan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Oquerruri during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Walter Oquerruri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, AKD Eagles's goalkeeper Alvaro Ramila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Villarreal Lujan. AKD Eagles's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
