Zambrano Juanes hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the game, Torres Socobio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dundee UTD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lithium Sporting Club the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Dundee UTD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torres Socobio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Lithium Sporting Club booed when Dundee UTD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luzuriaga Teijeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Lithium Sporting Club's goalkeeper Adalberto Salas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Bosch. Blanco Orejas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoni Kociniewski in the 13th minute of the match. Venceslao Peñaranda hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Adalberto Salas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 17th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zambrano Juanes. Lithium Sporting Club's Antoni Kociniewski got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blanco Orejas came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Lithium Sporting Club's Antoni Kociniewski. But to his dismay, Antoni Kociniewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ferrer Balaunde kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Lithium Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Gorbea came free, but Adalberto Salas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 36 in the game by Zambrano Juanes from a close distance when the talented Adalberto Salas managed to make a qualified save. Lithium Sporting Club's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoni Kociniewski in the 38th minute of play forced Dundee UTD's goalkeeper Blanco Orejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Lithium Sporting Club's Antoni Kociniewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Blanco Orejas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 47 minutes, Zenon Ligas made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Dundee UTD's Blanco Orejas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Lithium Sporting Club were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Adalberto Salas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adalberto Salas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Bosch in the 60th minute of the match. Adalberto Salas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Bosch, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Cántaro Barbera hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Lithium Sporting Club's Chico Abouza was substituted for Arthur Lago. A collision led to Dundee UTD getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Cántaro Barbera hit a great ball. Dundee UTD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Zenon Ligas scored to the left of an out of position Blanco Orejas, making the score, 0-4. In the 71st minute Torres Socobio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Salas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 minutes of play Dundee UTD's Torres Socobio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Dundee UTD getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Torres Socobio hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the game, Lithium Sporting Club's Nicolas Palazuelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Blanco Orejas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Dundee UTD's Blanco Orejas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zenon Ligas in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute Washington Gorbea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Salas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lithium Sporting Club's Nicolas Palazuelo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolas Palazuelo came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Blanco Orejas could save by the left post. Blanco Orejas was a little too slow when Nicolas Palazuelo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 0-6. After 94 minutes, Nicolas Palazuelo made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Dundee UTD's Blanco Orejas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 97 minutes of play, Lithium Sporting Club's Nicolas Palazuelo made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blanco Orejas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lithium Sporting Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
