The Dundee UTD fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Dundee UTD's Aurelio Bosch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 12 minutes into the game, Aurelio Bosch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Julio Abrante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luzuriaga Teijeira's late challenge caught a Carnot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luzuriaga Teijeira helped the player get up and apologised. Luzuriaga Teijeira hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Julio Abrante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Cantoral charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolando Cantoral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Carnot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Cantoral to maneuver through the defense. Aires Clavell's late challenge caught a Dundee UTD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aires Clavell helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Carnot got a freekick which was hit by Aires Clavell. In the 28th minute, Aurelio Bosch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dundee UTD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Gorbea in the 32nd minute of play forced Carnot's goalkeeper Julio Abrante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zambrano Juanes got free with Julio Abrante in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Abrante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yiyo Ratra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yiyo Ratra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Julio Abrante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Abrante was a little too slow when Washington Gorbea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 4-0. After 44 played minutes Carnot got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Cantoral. Aurelio Bosch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Julio Abrante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Torres Socobio made the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Bosch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Abrante having to interfere. Washington Gorbea scored 6-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Abrante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 59 minutes into the game, Washington Gorbea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Julio Abrante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Abrante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Gorbea in the 62nd minute of play. Zambrano Juanes took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Abrante. Julio Abrante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. In the 71st minute, Aurelio Bosch made a precise shot to the right of Julio Abrante. Carnot's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Julio Abrante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Abrante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zambrano Juanes in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Aurelio Bosch notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Carnot's Julio Abrante. Julio Abrante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Abrante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose-Antonio Santiso hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Aurelio Bosch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Abrante having to interfere. Carnot's Julio Abrante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torres Socobio in the 89th minute of play. Aurelio Bosch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Abrante having to interfere.
