Roman Baiges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sverker Vidman in the 18th minute of the match. Sverker Vidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Baiges having to interfere. A hard shot by Alex Cuadro from long distance, 23 minutes into the match, got Roman Baiges's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 24 minutes into the match, Cañita Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Asencio Falguera came free, but Roman Baiges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Sverker Vidman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Roman Baiges successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Sverker Vidman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sverker Vidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Baiges having to interfere. In the 46th minute of the game Fabio Espineiro made a throw-in which Ignacio Lezama played forward.

Marcelo Reza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilson Chavarria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for FC Seven. Roberto Uribe stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Roman Baiges. 3-0. In the 77th minute of the match Alex Cuadro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roman Baiges showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Sverker Vidman sped through Cañita Sporting Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roman Baiges. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sverker Vidman in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Baiges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Sverker Vidman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roman Baiges. Cañita Sporting Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sverker Vidman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Roman Baiges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sverker Vidman's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Hugo Boladeras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Baiges was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After some careless play in the Cañita Sporting Club defense, Asencio Falguera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Baiges. The Cañita Sporting Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Baiges should have stopped the shot. FC Seven walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
