Yambay Pinedo hit a great ball. Manuel Gascon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 8 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Yambay Pinedo came free, but Roberto Bermudo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stalin Cabezuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Roxas's goal looked a bit too open when Stalin Cabezuela came free, but Xicu Aguileta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camacho Burell hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Ignacio Lauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xicu Aguileta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stalin Cabezuela in the 25th minute of play. After 26 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Tolino. Roxas's Parrales Guete got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roberto Bermudo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yambay Pinedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Roxas's Xicu Aguileta got control of the ball when Ignacio Lauro tried to sneak it across the goal line. River Plate's Stalin Cabezuela got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ignacio Lauro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Xicu Aguileta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Roxas's goal looked a bit too open when Stalin Cabezuela came free, but Xicu Aguileta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River Plate's Ignacio Lauro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute, Parrales Guete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 52 minutes into the match, Ignacio Lauro notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Roxas's Xicu Aguileta. Xicu Aguileta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roxas's Xicu Aguileta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Lauro in the 55th minute of play. Xicu Aguileta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Lauro in the 57th minute of play. Jonathan Cossio hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Stalin Cabezuela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stalin Cabezuela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yambay Pinedo in the 66th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Roberto Bermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xicu Aguileta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Lauro in the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Stalin Cabezuela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stalin Cabezuela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. River Plate's Jonatan Rioseco was substituted for Stalin Cabezuela. In the 76th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Hermosa to maneuver through the defense. Jonatan Rioseco scored 2-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xicu Aguileta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Damian Sorriba fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roxas's protests and gave Damian Sorriba a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of River Plate booed when Roxas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Sorriba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xicu Aguileta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Lauro went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Rafael de la Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
