Stalin Cabezuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingo Cerredo having to interfere. In the 8th minute Parrales Borroel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael de la Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, CD Chantilin's Domingo Cerredo got control of the ball when Ignacio Lauro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of River Plate booed when CD Chantilin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Rego didn't get a good kick on the ball. River Plate's Stalin Cabezuela got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CD Chantilin's Domingo Cerredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stalin Cabezuela in the 24th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CD Chantilin! Domingo Cerredo went to the wrong direction when Ignacio Lauro was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. CD Chantilin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Stalin Cabezuela scored to the left of an out of position Domingo Cerredo, making the score, 2-0. Domingo Cerredo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stalin Cabezuela showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. In the 46th minute, Stalin Cabezuela reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Domingo Cerredo. The goal made the score 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ignacio Lauro to make the kick off. If Ignacio Lauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Domingo Cerredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stalin Cabezuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Stalin Cabezuela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Alex Tello charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Tello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venerando Zubeldia kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see River Plate's Mateus Poo in action when he in the 70th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Ignacio Lauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonatan Rioseco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Domingo Cerredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Ignacio Lauro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingo Cerredo. CD Chantilin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Lauro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Lauro in the 91st minute of play forced CD Chantilin's goalkeeper Domingo Cerredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, CD Chantilin's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Rioseco came free, but Domingo Cerredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River Plate's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
