Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Texeira Frecha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 9th minute of the match Xuan Fombona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Catalan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, Wilmer Montealegre made a precise shot to the right of Texeira Frecha. S.D. RAYO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 13th minute, Valery Tolentin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Xuan Fombona came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the S.D. RAYO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xuan Fombona couldn't finish the play. If Tenorio Seto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. George Catalan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Ucedo in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Xuan Fombona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Catalan skillfully saved the ball. After 34 minutes S.D. RAYO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Perez Guedella who took care of the corner kick. Texeira Frecha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilmer Montealegre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Cortez Talavera made a precise shot to the right of George Catalan. Club Deportivo Logroño's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Jimmy Unzueta charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimmy Unzueta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jimmy Unzueta kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The S.D. RAYO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Deportivo Logroño were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mane Bravain to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Perez Guedella mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo Logroño and the S.D. RAYO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Perez Guedella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, S.D. RAYO's goal looked a bit too open when Calisto Negrete came free, but Texeira Frecha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Club Deportivo Logroño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Criban Miranes to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Fasgar took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Catalan. George Catalan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Sebastian Fasgar hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Lucio Ucedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Tenorio Seto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.D. RAYO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Ucedo in the 83rd minute of play forced Club Deportivo Logroño's goalkeeper George Catalan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cortez Talavera hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. George Catalan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Ucedo in the 88th minute of the match. Tenorio Seto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Catalan having to interfere. Tenorio Seto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, S.D. RAYO failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
