In the 7th minute, one of Roma de Ecuador FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Roma de Ecuador FC. Tenorio Seto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Tenorio Seto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Tenorio Seto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Cerejido. Roma de Ecuador FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tenorio Seto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, Roma de Ecuador FC's Marlon Lordaliego sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Texeira Frecha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, S.D. RAYO's Lucio Ucedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernardo Cerejido. Bernardo Cerejido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Bernardo Cerejido didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. The supporters of Roma de Ecuador FC booed when S.D. RAYO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Ucedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Texeira Frecha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arboleda Valcuende's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Lucio Ucedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardo Cerejido, 5-0. Roma de Ecuador FC's Bernardo Cerejido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Roma de Ecuador FC from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Zuri Salina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Cerejido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Ucedo in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match Reyes Mendaza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Cerejido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The audience was convinced that Tenorio Seto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Cerejido was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Bernardo Cerejido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Ucedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Barbanera during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to S.D. RAYO getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Flavio Barbanera hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Roma de Ecuador FC's Marlon Lordaliego tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 56 played minutes S.D. RAYO got a freekick which was hit by Luis-Antonio Vuelva. Texeira Frecha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arboleda Valcuende in the 62nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arboleda Valcuende in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Texeira Frecha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to S.D. RAYO getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Cortez Talavera hit a great ball. In the 65th match minute, S.D. RAYO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tenorio Seto to maneuver through the defense. Zuri Salina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Texeira Frecha having to interfere. In the 75th minute Cortez Talavera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Cerejido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roma de Ecuador FC's Bernardo Cerejido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Fasgar in the 76th minute of play. Marlon Lordaliego in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Texeira Frecha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 90 minutes of play, S.D. RAYO's Tenorio Seto made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Cerejido was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roma de Ecuador FC's Bernardo Cerejido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Ucedo in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. S.D. RAYO had played much better football throughout.
