Damian Dubilas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Michel in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Sangay SC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Gomez Ben hit a great ball. Roger Outon kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. USFQ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ataulfo Ayala in the 12th minute. USFQ FC's Ataulfo Ayala was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gabriel Ibern in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With his leg Gabriel Ibern managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when USFQ FC's Leo Cardenas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sangay SC's Gabriel Ibern proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Sangay SC from getting a goal against them. Sangay SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Vellito Manzano scored to the left of an out of position Gabriel Ibern, making the score, 1-0. USFQ FC's Leo Cardenas got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sangay SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roger Outon in the 32nd minute. After 34 played minutes USFQ FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Palladino. 35 minutes into the match, USFQ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Outon came free, but Damian Dubilas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Cerezuela's late challenge caught a Sangay SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Cerezuela helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sangay SC booed when USFQ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Cerezuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Dubilas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gomez Ben, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

After having played for 52 minutes, Leo Cardenas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USFQ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Cardenas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute Leo Cardenas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ibern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Cardenas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gabriel Ibern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Cardenas in the 86th minute of play forced Sangay SC's goalkeeper Gabriel Ibern to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Leo Cardenas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Ibern. Sangay SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leo Cardenas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. USFQ FC had played much better football throughout.
