Xalvador Rodas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urdaspal Valaguer in the 14th minute of the match. David Oñate was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ubendu Caballeiro. Christian Albizuri hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Urdaspal Valaguer managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD CEDRONE's supporters rose to their feet, but Urdaspal Valaguer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xalvador Rodas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 played minutes Guayaquil S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Felix Villapun. Urdaspal Valaguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Xalvador Rodas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Guayaquil S.C. booed when CD CEDRONE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Ubilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40thth minute of the game Urdaspal Valaguer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guayaquil S.C.'s Xalvador Rodas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Urdaspal Valaguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Rodas having to interfere. The Guayaquil S.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CD CEDRONE were winning 0-1.

With his leg Xalvador Rodas managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when CD CEDRONE's Urdaspal Valaguer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the CD CEDRONE defense, Rolando Peramato kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Oñate. The CD CEDRONE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Oñate should have stopped the shot. David Oñate had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Urdaspal Aviñante's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Urdaspal Aviñante hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When CD CEDRONE's Urdaspal Valaguer in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Loco Ruescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xalvador Rodas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urdaspal Valaguer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, Guayaquil S.C.'s Urdaspal Aviñante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Oñate made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Urdaspal Valaguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Rodas having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Guayaquil S.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from CD CEDRONE for much of the match.
