The Carnot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nando Torralbo should have stopped the shot. Chico Carabajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ibern having to interfere. Nando Torralbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Michel in the 40th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Carnot got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Pedro. Jesus Michel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Torralbo having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Nando Torralbo was a little too slow when Jesus Michel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. Gabriel Ibern stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chico Carabajo's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sangay SC's goalkeeper Gabriel Ibern, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Gonzalo Pedro came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Carnot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Pedro couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Michel in the 72nd minute of play forced Carnot's goalkeeper Nando Torralbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sangay SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
