Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iza Iruz started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, UD Zoo's Marcelo Remolina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 12thth minute of the game Iza Iruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Zoo's Yoelvis Pereta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Segundo Barbadillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Yoelvis Pereta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, UD Zoo's Ferrer Villamil got a free kick in the 20th minute. With 25 minutes on the clock, Walter Montalvo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Anibal Ybarbo came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by UD Zoo's Héctor Iza. But to his dismay, Héctor Iza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Héctor Iza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Anibal Ybarbo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marlon Valdovinos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Remolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Marcelo Remolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Anibal Ybarbo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anibal Ybarbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferrer Villamil in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Universidad Catolica booed when UD Zoo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Remolina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Remolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Ybarbo having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Universidad Catolica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iza Iruz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to UD Zoo getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Héctor Iza hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Héctor Iza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anibal Ybarbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ysidro Osas in the 72nd minute of play. Anibal Ybarbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Iza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Universidad Catolica's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Remolina came free, but Anibal Ybarbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Héctor Iza notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Universidad Catolica's Anibal Ybarbo. Anibal Ybarbo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ysidro Osas in the 83rd minute of play forced Universidad Catolica's goalkeeper Anibal Ybarbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Universidad Catolica's Anibal Ybarbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Remolina in the 87th minute of play. Ferrer Villamil scored 8-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Ybarbo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marlon Valdovinos during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marlon Valdovinos hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Universidad Catolica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
