Spectators: 8094 (Terracing: 6093, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 161) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Garcia Jado kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Almendral got a freekick which was hit by Omar Miralles. Xavion Rulan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Bojarte in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jorge Bojarte hit a great ball. Almendral's Xavion Rulan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garcia Jado in the 12th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Garcia Jado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almendral's Xavion Rulan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Almendral's Chucho Dean threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aurelio Martijana, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Almendral booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ximun Tocos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavion Rulan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Bojarte in the 21st minute of the match. Almendral's Xavion Rulan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paiva Escabi in the 25th minute of play. Garcia Jado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Almendral's goal looked a bit too open when Paiva Escabi came free, but Xavion Rulan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chucho Dean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Aurelio Martijana hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Bojarte in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xavion Rulan saved Almendral from getting behind. Xavion Rulan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garcia Jado, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Xavion Rulan came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Astillero del Guayas's Garcia Jado. But to his dismay, Garcia Jado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a rather tough play, Almendral's Omar Miralles got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Xavion Rulan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garcia Jado in the 54th minute. 61 minutes in the game, Paiva Escabi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Xavion Rulan having to interfere. Almendral's Omar Miralles got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Almendral's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Bojarte came free, but Xavion Rulan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almendral's Xavion Rulan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Almendral from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the game, Jorge Bojarte recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xavion Rulan. Jorge Bojarte showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Jorge Bojarte kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Astillero del Guayas's Jorge Bojarte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xavion Rulan. That made the score 0-3 after 83 minutes of play. Xavion Rulan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garcia Jado, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Xavion Rulan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garcia Jado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jorge Bojarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th match minute, Almendral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Tremiño to maneuver through the defense. Xavion Rulan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garcia Jado in the 96th minute of play. The Almendral fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Astillero del Guayas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
