Hugo Tarabejano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xicu Señor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Bojarte in the 21st minute of the match. Ximun Tocos might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xicu Señor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ximun Tocos ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 25 minutes, Paiva Escabi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astillero del Guayas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paiva Escabi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Jorge Bojarte lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Xicu Señor. Jorge Bojarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Ximun Tocos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xicu Señor. Ximun Tocos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 39 minutes into the match, La Jarrilla De Tinto F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Bojarte came free, but Xicu Señor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Jarrilla De Tinto F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Jorge Bojarte scored to the left of an out of position Xicu Señor, making the score, 4-0. 47 minutes into the match, La Jarrilla De Tinto F.C's goalkeeper Xicu Señor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ximun Tocos. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Tarabejano to make the kick off. Xicu Señor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Bojarte in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Ximun Tocos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xicu Señor was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Xicu Señor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Bojarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Bojarte in the 59th minute of play forced La Jarrilla De Tinto F.C's goalkeeper Xicu Señor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Bojarte took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xicu Señor. Xicu Señor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Bojarte in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xicu Señor saved La Jarrilla De Tinto F.C from getting behind. In the 66th minute Ximun Tocos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xicu Señor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Astillero del Guayas's Ximun Tocos in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Jarrilla De Tinto F.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 84th minute, Jorge Bojarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Astillero del Guayas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 88 minutes into the game, Astillero del Guayas's Jorge Bojarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xicu Señor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Danny-Rafael de la Rosa's late challenge caught a Astillero del Guayas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danny-Rafael de la Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Garcia Jado hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, La Jarrilla De Tinto F.C's Ayoví Oquendo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Xicu Señor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garcia Jado's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Astillero del Guayas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
