Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Garcia Jado started the match with the kick off. Mario Tarriba's late challenge caught a Astillero del Guayas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Tarriba helped the player get up and apologised. Garcia Jado took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Bonjoch. Manuel Bonjoch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Manuel Bonjoch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garcia Jado in the 15th minute of play. When Gustavo Xandri came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the CórdovaFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Xandri couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Jorge Bojarte made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Bonjoch. CórdovaFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Garcia Jado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Bonjoch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Bojarte in the 27th minute of play. Xandro Carlos charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xandro Carlos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes CórdovaFC got a freekick which was hit by Xandro Carlos. After 29 played minutes, Astillero del Guayas's Gustavo Oro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Bonjoch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Astillero del Guayas reached it. Zamora Grado hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Chucho Dean was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Gustavo Xandri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustavo Xandri really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Chucho Dean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Xandri's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Zamora Grado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chucho Dean having to interfere.

Manuel Bonjoch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximun Tocos, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Mario Tarriba hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 58 minutes, Gustavo Xandri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CórdovaFC and the Astillero del Guayas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Bonjoch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paiva Escabi in the 63rd minute of play. CórdovaFC's Manuel Bonjoch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save CórdovaFC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Ximun Tocos took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Manuel Bonjoch to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garcia Jado in the 80th minute of play forced CórdovaFC's goalkeeper Manuel Bonjoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garcia Jado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Manuel Bonjoch made a huge save. Manuel Bonjoch made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Garcia Jado sent off a good shot on target. 93 minutes into the game, Ximun Tocos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Manuel Bonjoch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Astillero del Guayas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CórdovaFC throughout the match.
