In the 20th match minute, Universidad Catolica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Montalvo to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Walter Montalvo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeruko Manso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Iza Iruz made a precise shot to the right of Zeruko Manso. Atletico Audaz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Zeruko Manso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Barbadillo in the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Universidad Catolica's zone, Dannes Estarrona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Larios charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Larios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Atletico Audaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Larios to maneuver through the defense. When Segundo Barbadillo got free in front of the goal in the 39th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Zeruko Manso was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Dannes Estarrona kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Universidad Catolica were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iza Iruz was the one to do the kick off.
