Garcia Jado started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Garcia Jado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LLano Sporting Club's Edwin Folgar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Astillero del Guayas's Jorge Bojarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin Folgar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. LLano Sporting Club's Edwin Folgar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save LLano Sporting Club from getting a goal against them. Rogelio Valpuesta hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Edwin Folgar didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 17th minute, Jorge Bojarte made a precise shot to the right of Edwin Folgar. LLano Sporting Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 22nd minute Maximiliano Apellaniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chucho Dean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes, Rodolfo Theas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LLano Sporting Club and the Astillero del Guayas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodolfo Theas kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Edwin Folgar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 26 minutes into the match, Garcia Jado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwin Folgar. LLano Sporting Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garcia Jado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garcia Jado in the 29th minute of play forced LLano Sporting Club's goalkeeper Edwin Folgar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Astillero del Guayas's Ximun Tocos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin Folgar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Edwin Folgar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garcia Jado in the 34th minute of play. With his leg Edwin Folgar managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Astillero del Guayas's Garcia Jado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Astillero del Guayas booed when LLano Sporting Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Valpuesta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin Folgar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximun Tocos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute Jorge Bojarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Folgar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garcia Jado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Edwin Folgar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximiliano Apellaniz to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ximun Tocos made a precise shot to the right of Edwin Folgar. LLano Sporting Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. LLano Sporting Club's Edwin Folgar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garcia Jado in the 56th minute of play. Roman Zabarte hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Gustavo Oro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astillero del Guayas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Oro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the game, Ximun Tocos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Edwin Folgar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 70 minutes into the match, LLano Sporting Club's goal looked a bit too open when Garcia Jado came free, but Edwin Folgar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ximun Tocos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Folgar having to interfere. Edwin Folgar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximun Tocos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Astillero del Guayas's Ximun Tocos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin Folgar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Jorge Bojarte put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Edwin Folgar. Edwin Folgar came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Astillero del Guayas's Garcia Jado. But to his dismay, Garcia Jado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. When the referee ended the match the Astillero del Guayas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
