They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 75th minute, Nicasio Raymond reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jan Oblak. The goal made the score 1-3. Nicasio Raymond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Oblak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Elias Arnedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Janpier in the 80th minute of the match. If Jefferson Farfán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Torre got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cafu Meirelles. 84 minutes into the match, Cafu Meirelles notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ultimo Bondi a Finisterre's Elias Arnedo. Elias Arnedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
