The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, UD Amazonas's Bohórquez Salcines got control of the ball when Ricardo Luis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Luis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bohórquez Salcines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cyprian Lewicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urrutia Hubieta in the 21st minute of the match. UD Amazonas's Bohórquez Salcines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Luis in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to LRPV getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Roberto Alicea hit a great ball. After 31 minutes of play, UD Amazonas's Urrutia Hubieta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cyprian Lewicki was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute Urrutia Hubieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyprian Lewicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Ariste's late challenge caught a LRPV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Ariste helped the player get up and apologised. Rafael Ariste hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Ricardo Luiss short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Bohórquez Salcines to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 42nd minute, Ricardo Luis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Amazonas's goalkeeper Bohórquez Salcines, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cyprian Lewicki came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Amazonas's Rafael Ariste. But to his dismay, Rafael Ariste quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Urrutia Hubieta made the kick off in the second half. Cyprian Lewicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urrutia Hubieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bohórquez Salcines stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Perez Piciña's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Luis in the 60th minute of play forced UD Amazonas's goalkeeper Bohórquez Salcines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ricardo Luis came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the LRPV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Luis couldn't finish the play. LRPV's Perez Piciña got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xuaco Carro in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cyprian Lewicki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Urrutia Hubieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Ganado hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, LRPV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Dubardo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xuaco Carro got free with Cyprian Lewicki in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Luis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bohórquez Salcines was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Bohórquez Salcines came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by LRPV's Perez Piciña. But to his dismay, Perez Piciña quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in UD Amazonas's zone, Ricardo Luis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bohórquez Salcines came out of the goal and Ricardo Luis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Although LRPV had been in control for most of the match, UD Amazonas still came away with the win.
