José-Manuel Husarte's late challenge caught a Loja S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José-Manuel Husarte helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Javita fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! When Lisandro Gipils fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loja S.C.'s protests and gave Lisandro Gipils a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Javita booed when Loja S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Gipils didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Batı Sağlamer made a huge save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tenorio Estebanes made a kick off. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Loja S.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Javita had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
