The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, BarceAlfredo's Zacarias Cigüenza got control of the ball when Victor Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute of the match Loja S.C. got a corner. BarceAlfredo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Gudesteo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 58 played minutes Loja S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Hidalgo Gallegos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gastão Leão in the 59th minute of play forced Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Ismael Rossell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
