The referee ignored Loja S.C.'s protests and gave Lisandro Gipils a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Loja S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Gipils. Martin Jansson hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Fabricio Vedeja who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Roris Camarero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the MILAN defense, Victor Peres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roris Camarero. The MILAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roris Camarero should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the game, Loja S.C.'s Victor Peres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roris Camarero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 22 minutes into the game, Victor Peres lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Roris Camarero. Loja S.C.'s Ismael Rossell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Jansson in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Peres got free with Roris Camarero in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute Loja S.C. were awarded a corner. Pedro Gudesteo went to the cornerflag to take it. Victor Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Roris Camarero made a huge save. In the 35th minute of the match, Fabricio Vedeja got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roris Camarero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Roris Camarero made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Victor Peres sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Victor Peres could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Roris Camarero however easily saved by the left post. Roris Camarero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hidalgo Gallegos went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Luis-Antonio Barraza charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis-Antonio Barraza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Luis-Antonio Barraza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes MILAN got a freekick which was hit by Luis Cerdeira. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Victor Peres made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hidalgo Gallegos in the 52nd minute of play forced MILAN's goalkeeper Roris Camarero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabricio Vedeja in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roris Camarero saved MILAN from getting behind. Victor Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roris Camarero having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabricio Vedeja in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roris Camarero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roris Camarero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roris Camarero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Peres's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Loja S.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
