CD Cutuntza's attentive Xavian Checa managed to snatch the ball when Edmundo Sorriva made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Klimovich Pedronera made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Jerson Calleja sent off a good shot on target. After 11 minutes, Loco Betancur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuenca FC and the CD Cutuntza players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cuenca FC's Loco Betancur got a free kick in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanni Abella got free with Klimovich Pedronera in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loco Betancur made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CD Cutuntza's Xavian Checa. Rogerio Bocos made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Raul Escolar however managed to control. 20 minutes into the game, Jerson Calleja recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Klimovich Pedronera. Jerson Calleja showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Klimovich Pedronera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerson Calleja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gustavo Arevalo fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuenca FC's protests and gave Gustavo Arevalo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Gustavo Arevalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klimovich Pedronera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerson Calleja in the 30th minute of play. Klimovich Pedronera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerson Calleja in the 32nd minute of the match. CD Cutuntza's Unax Luengas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gustavo Arevalo in the 33 minute of the game. Raul Escolar hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Álvaro Montero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Gox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavian Checa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to CD Cutuntza getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. James Casados hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, Jerson Calleja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Klimovich Pedronera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Xavian Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, CD Cutuntza's goalkeeper Álvaro Montero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Candelario Arainz. CD Cutuntza's Xavian Checa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by John Gox in the 67 minute of the game. The CD Cutuntza fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when CD Cutuntza's Jerson Calleja looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 76th minute, Rubén Gallego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Astola in the 77th minute of play forced Cuenca FC's goalkeeper Klimovich Pedronera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Gustavo Arevalo threw the ball into play from the sideline. CD Cutuntza's Wellington Astola quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavian Checa in the 86th minute of play forced Cuenca FC's goalkeeper Klimovich Pedronera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jerson Calleja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cuenca FC's Klimovich Pedronera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerson Calleja in the 91st minute of play. CD Cutuntza's Xavian Checa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by John Gox in the 94 minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Jerson Calleja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Klimovich Pedronera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CD Cutuntza fully deserved thier win.
