The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Larrategui got free with Teofilo Lordi in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Hincha Pelotas FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Vistruario Bengoa hit a great ball. When C. D. Teofilo Lordi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Larrategui in the 40th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Ismael Larrategui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Alvaro Froiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0.
