Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Larrategui in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Hincha Pelotas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentine Corias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentine Corias's late challenge caught a Astillero del Guayas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentine Corias helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hincha Pelotas FC's Valentine Corias got a free kick in the 24th minute. Hincha Pelotas FC's Hendrik van Eijnde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xaiver Ascarretazabal in the 27th minute of play. Urtsin Murueta kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Xaiver Ascarretazabal scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hendrik van Eijnde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 43rd match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bagui Lizana to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. Hendrik van Eijnde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xaiver Ascarretazabal in the 59th minute of the match. Hendrik van Eijnde was a little too slow when Zarando Eguizabal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-2. Hendrik van Eijnde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaiver Ascarretazabal in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Hincha Pelotas FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Zumar Bas hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Hendrik van Eijnde successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bagui Lizana kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Patricio Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentine Corias in the 94th minute of play. Astillero del Guayas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
